[Zhongfang Chemical Key Product 02] Environmentally Friendly Nylon Dyeing and Finishing Auxiliary Agent

2026-02-06

In traditional nylon dyeing and printing processes, commonly used chemical auxiliaries—such as conventional acidic fixing agents—while meeting the requirements of the dyeing and printing process to some extent, pose significant environmental and health risks due to their content of harmful chemicals, which cannot be overlooked.

In traditional nylon dyeing and printing processes, commonly used chemical auxiliaries—such as conventional acidic color-fixing agents—while meeting the requirements of the dyeing and printing technology to some extent, pose significant environmental and health risks due to their content of harmful chemicals. For instance, bisphenol compounds are classified as endocrine disruptors that can contaminate water bodies and soils, disrupting the balance of ecosystems and posing potential health hazards to humans, including adverse effects on reproductive system development and an increased risk of cancer. As a result, these substances have been included in lists of prohibited or restricted materials under environmental protection regulations. Moreover, with increasingly stringent environmental laws and regulations, the use of these harmful substances is facing ever-growing restrictions, seriously challenging the market prospects of traditional non-environmentally friendly auxiliaries.

In actual dyeing and printing production, the foam problem caused by chemical auxiliaries also poses numerous challenges for enterprises. Excessive foam can lead to poor circulation of fabrics in the dyeing vat, thereby reducing production efficiency; foam overflowing from the vat onto the floor creates safety hazards; and after the foam breaks, it leaves behind auxiliary-agent stains on the fabric, resulting in uneven distribution of auxiliaries on the fabric surface and compromising product quality.

For post-finishing functional additives such as moisture-wicking and sweat-release agents, wash durability has become a key focus in recent years—and also a major challenge in development. Poor wash durability of functional additives fails to meet consumers’ demand for consistently stable garment performance.

Addressing the aforementioned pain points, we propose a three-in-one solution featuring “clean color fixation + bubble-free yellowing resistance + long-lasting performance,” which covers the entire nylon dyeing and printing process, enabling high-performance, low-environmental-impact, and long-term stable green manufacturing.

The eco-friendly nylon color-fixing agent, the BIOFIX NL series, breaks through the conventional synthesis system for acidic color-fixing agents that are typically based on phenol and bisphenol S. Instead, it introduces a novel polymer developed from innovative bio-based phenolic derivatives, which can firmly lock acidic dye molecules within polyamide fibers, thereby significantly enhancing the colorfastness of the dyes. This product series is free from harmful substances such as bisphenol S, bisphenol F, and phenol, fully meeting the requirements of brand orders destined for markets in the U.S., the EU, and other regions, and thus overcoming green trade barriers.

When fixing the color during nylon dyeing, simultaneously adding our company’s specially developed complementary auxiliaries—such as degreasing agents, nylon leveling agents, stain-prevention agents, dispersants, acid-releasing agents, and water-soaking fastness enhancers—can further enhance the quality of dyed fabrics and improve processing stability.

Anti-high-temperature yellowing agent FK-161 series products:

As early as 2013, we were the first in the industry to launch the FK-161D series of environmentally friendly high-temperature yellowing-resistant agents, which are free of ADH, free of glutaraldehyde dihydrazide, and do not adsorb free formaldehyde. This product line has been rigorously tested and proven effective for over 10 years in Jin-ammonia rayon dyeing and finishing plants. Fabrics made from Jin-ammonia rayon produced using these agents exhibit outstanding long-term anti-aging performance, persistently resisting fabric aging and yellowing caused by nitrogen oxides in the air (smog-induced yellowing) as well as discoloration induced by disinfectant chlorine in tap water.

Anti-phenol yellowing agent FK-162 series products:

Based on our proprietary technology, we have developed a bubble-free anti-phenol yellowing agent with independent intellectual property rights. This innovative product breaks away from the traditional reliance on defoamers—it contains no defoaming agents whatsoever and produces absolutely no foam. It boasts exceptional anti-phenol yellowing performance, precisely blocking the phenol yellowing pathway and effectively addressing the issue of yellowing and aging in textile storage. During use, it exhibits excellent compatibility with other auxiliaries such as antioxidants and softeners, causing minimal impact on mold-induced yellowing, light-induced yellowing, or fabric hand feel. This agent is suitable not only for conventional anti-phenol yellowing finishing processes but can also be used in the same bath as dyeing processes, helping dyeing mills reduce costs and improve efficiency while achieving energy savings and low-carbon production.

   Durable Moisture-Wicking Finishing Agent CTC-SRE66:

A novel polyurethane-modified polymer featuring an amphiphilic block structure achieves “directional moisture management + durable anchoring” through precise control of its molecular architecture. Its moisture-absorbing and quick-drying performance meets the requirements of the national standard GB/T 21655.1-2023, and it can withstand more than 50 wash cycles without significant loss of performance. Moreover, it has relatively minimal impact on colorfastness. Both its moisture-absorbing and quick-drying properties and its wash resistance are markedly superior to those of similar products currently available on the market, making it particularly well-suited for moisture-wicking and sweat-management finishing treatments for high-end elastic knitted fabrics made from spandex and nylon.
