In October 2020, the National standard "Technical Requirements for Ecological Textiles" (GB/T 18885-2020) was issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China and implemented on May 1, 2021. Increased polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the new standard, perfluorinated and fluoride compounds, residual solvent, detection of residual harmful material such as surfactant, at the same time to the original standard parts of the detection limit of harmful substances to make more strict revision, made clear at this stage the definition of ecological textile, and puts forward higher requirements to protect the human body and environment.

The project "Key Technology Development of NMMO Green Synthesis Process" carried out by the company broke the monopoly of The Indian company in the domestic market. The NMMO solvent developed by the project is used as a high-performance solvent for plant cellulose, which has strong solubility for cellulose. The high-purity NMMO solvent developed by the project has high boiling point impurity content reaching PPM level. Ensure efficient and repeated use of solvents, products recognized by the market.

The ecological textile additives developed by China Textile Chemical have been certified by OEKO-TEX® (International Textile and Leather Ecological Research and Testing Association) and ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Harmful Chemicals Organization) for three consecutive years since 2019. The certified products cover waterproofing agent, environmental cleaning agent, environmental protection and crude oil, nylon additives, dyes and so on. With the help of environmental protection quality assurance, it promotes downstream environmental protection upgrade and at the same time makes customers feel at ease with it, and improves the market share of Ecological textile additives of Zhongfang Chemical.

Based on the "double carbon" layout and the overall goal of "30·60" to cope with climate change, Zhongfang chemical started the clean production work of "full participation and full contribution" in August 2021, comprehensively combing raw materials, production process and production equipment. All the staff put forward more than 30 technical transformation plans for energy saving, consumption reduction and emission reduction.
